After School

Therapeutic Program

The After School Therapeutic Program is designed to meet the special needs of children with complex psychological or behavioral challenges. An individual treatment plan is developed for each child, detailing their specific needs and focus areas. The staff and child work in small groups for therapeutic activities, skill building exercises, and recreational activities. Children and adolescents are rewarded for positive behavior with daily reinforcements, special privileges, and other rewards.

The program is designed

to help your child:

Improve interactions with other children

Learn to follow through with instructions, complete tasks, and comply with adult requests

Improve attention and concentration skills

Improve learning skills

Improve self-esteem while developing personal, recreational, social, and academic skills

More about ASTP

ACRP’s After School Therapeutic Program provides structured and supportive activities for children and adolescents outside of regular school hours. Qualified therapists, counselors, and trained staff lead these programs, providing guidance, support, and encouragement to participants. The goal is to help students develop coping skills, improve social interactions, enhance academic performance, and build resilience in a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, after school therapeutic programs in PA may involve collaboration with families and school personnel to ensure continuity of care and support for the child’s overall wellbeing.

If the child is an appropriate candidate for the After School Therapeutic Program, an evaluation is scheduled.
